Cheers to Thirty Years
Paradise Park Celebrates 30th Birthday
Paradise Park is 30!
Darren Clift and Sarah Mead, two 5th-generation members of the Tate family and Directors of the family firm, joined Director Mark Gilbert, Plant Doctor David Fitton M.B.E. and special guests Maria Caulfield MP and Newhaven Mayor Paul Boswell, at Paradise Park Garden Centre on Avis Road last Saturday.
The entire restaurant sang ‘Happy Birthday’ before the candles were blown out on the cake, made to order especially for the occasion by Seaford based Burt’s Bakery. Customers were then treated to a slice and were invited to share their stories and memories of Paradise Park.
Paradise Park may have reached it’s 30th birthday this year, but the family are also celebrating 100 years in business this year, from their humble beginnings running a laundry on Old Shoreham Road in Portslade, now the site of one of their successful car showrooms.
