Juliet Sargeant Gardening Courses

This 2 day garden design course is led by Chelsea Gold Medal winner Juliet Sargent. She is a regular on Radio 4 Gardeners’ Question Time and a familiar face on BBC Gardeners’ World. With over 20 years experience in garden design, Juliet and her team have the knowledge and experience to help you transform your garden space.

The course focuses on how you can transform your own small garden plot into a beautiful and practical paradise. Over two days, Juliet will take you through all the steps needed to plan and implement the transformation of your front, or back space.

Making the most of a small garden can be a challenge, but Juliet will guide you through the initial planning and design stages, helping you to draw inspiration. She will help you to make an efficient use of your space and how to choose hard landscaping materials. She will explain how to engage a contractor and all the tips and professional know-how to help you succeed in designing your own scheme.

By the end of the second day, you will have a scale drawing of your own design and an understanding of how to proceed. Past attendees have gone on to successfully complete and build their ideal gardens. An ideal follow-up course Best Plants and Planting for a Small Garden is available on 15th May.

Juliet has a relaxed style of teaching with plenty of illustrations and discussion to ensure all attendees get the most from their time.

The course takes place in The Garden Room at Old Barn Nurseries, Dial Post. This purpose built studio has facilities for teas-coffees and lunches, with refreshments included on both days. An easy to view screen ensures you can see and hear Juliet’s presentation with comfort and ease. Paper and drawing equipment will be provided and a pre-course video to help your prepare and gather the information about your own garden that you will need for the day.

All attendees will also receive a 20% discount voucher to spend at Old Barn Nursery.
