Old Barn Garden Centre and Nursery became part of the Tate family business in 2018 and has since been completely redeveloped into a destination garden centre with a 200 seater restaurant and coffee shop.
Our Garden and Lifestyle shop provides inspiration for your home and garden and sources many unusual items to create an individual style and elegance. Because we grow our own plants, you will always find friendly knowledgeable staff on hand to help at our extensive nursery.
You will also find a wide range of garden buildings, hot tubs and conservatories from our specialist concession partners.

Car parking at Old Barn for the disabled and coach set-down is on flat tarmac close to the main entrance.
Wheelchairs are available on request, subject to availability. Floor areas are flat and level. Where stock is displayed at height, staff are available to assist.
The Restaurant at Old Barn Garden Centre can cater to Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free and other dietary requirements.

The Coffee Shop & Restaurant at Old Barn Garden Centre
Fresh Produce Cooked to Order
Come enjoy some delicious food at our brand new Restaurant and Coffee Shop. We pride ourselves on producing a varied menu using fresh produce, cooked to order. From our extensive breakfast menu to our carefully curated lunch menu, there is something to please everyone.
Afternoon tea is also available to book, or enjoy a cream tea with delicious scones baked fresh every day. Our baristas serve a specialist range of quality coffees and delicious frappes and smoothies which are hard to resist. If you would like to book afternoon tea for two, please contact us.

The Garden Room
Room Hire for Events & Functions
The Garden Room is available to hire for events and functions. The maximum capacity is 50 people standing or 30 people seated. We can accommodate children’s parties up to a maximum of 25 children, plus accompanying parents. Room hire includes WiFi, a TV screen with HDMI connection and tea/coffee making facilities.
Session times are available to book as follows:
- All-day 8:30am-5:30pm
- Morning booking 8:30am-12:30pm
- Afternoon booking 1:30pm – 5:30pm
There is a minimum charge of £150 for a half-day and £250 for a full day. This will be offset against your menu choice, with prices starting at £14.50 per person for a finger buffet menu. To book please click the button below.
