Blueberry Miniblue is a new cultivar released by the USDA and Oregon State University. Distinguished by its superior flavour and fruit quality, as well as high yields of very small, firm, and vibrantly coloured fruit. This mid-season variety is very vigorous, with a natural tendency to produce branches, which makes the plant presentation excellent. It also has a narrow and upright growth habit, making it ideal for small spaces and container growing. The plant is interesting throughout the seasons, with an abundance of white waxy bell-shaped blooms in spring and a glowing golden-orange autumn colour. This variety is self-fertile, but cross-pollination will encourage a greater yield, as is the case with all blueberries.
