A low growing hybrid but with big showy flowers bred from Rhododendron yakushimanum, a glorious species with extremely pretty flowers. Its particular interest to breeders is that the buds are a lovely deep pink but open to a soft white. This colour change is obvious in most of these hybrids. Compact trusses of flowers from a young age Beautiful, almost silvery green leaves. A vigorous, upright grower which is very tough.It is different to some of the other evergreen dwarf hybrids in having larger, more handsome leaves. These hybrids are perfect for pots and patios as well as in the border in the garden.
