A particularly pretty white flowered Christmas Rose, Helleborus Christmas Carol has large single open flowers with pale yellow centres, which unusually for a hellebore tend to face more upright rather than down. They flower from December through to March and can be used in a cool spot in the house as a Christmas decoration then planted out into the garden in a shady spot in moist but well drained fertile soil. Beautiful underplanting deciduous shrubs such as roses.
