Allium Gladiator is a tall and impressive ornamental onion that features large spherical blooms on sturdy stems to 1.2m. The flowerheads can reach up to 15 cm in diameter and are composed of numerous star-shaped purple flowers. The plant blooms in late spring to early summer, attracting bees and other pollinators to the garden.
Allium Gladiator prefers well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade. It is hardy to -20°C. It is a great choice for borders or as a focal point in the garden. It is also deer and rabbit resistant, adding to its appeal as a low-maintenance plant. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
