Acer negundo 'Kelly's Gold' is a medium sized, bushy-headed, deciduous garden tree. The leaves emerge bright yellow, becoming fresh golden-green as they mature, then turning yellow in the autumn again. Drooping racemes of golden tassle-like flowers appear in June, followed by winged fruits. In the winter, the branches are pale grey with a white bloom adding an extra attractive feature to this variety. The tree can be pruned hard each spring to enhance ornamental effect or to control size.
