English Lavender is actually native to the mediterranean. It produces the best oils and is ideal for garden borders or growing as a divider or low hedge. It is more hardy than French lavender and tends to be more compact. Grow in full sun on well drained soil. Hidcote is a dwarf English lavender with highly scented deep purple flower spikes. it holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
