Humata tyermannii
3 FOR £15
Humata tyermannii, also known as Davallia tyermannii is native to the Canary Islands. It has fine, dark green, delicate fronds which are triangular in shape. This unusual fern produces silvery furry rhizomes that grow across the surface of the soil and hang down over the side of the pot. It’s these furry rhizomes that give this fern it’s common names, white rabbit’s foot fern and bear’s foot fern.
An unusual indoor fern that also looks great in a hanging basket. Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms as it loves higher humidity levels.
Prefers bright, indirect light to moderate light, keep out of direct sunlight. Keep the soil consistently moist but do not overwater as this can lead to root rot. Happier in warmer household temperatures, between 18-24°C but do not allow to fall lower than 10°C and keep out of draughts. Mist regularly to increase the humidity.
Poisonous to humans and animals, keep out of reach of pets and children.
