Murdannia loriformis 'Bright Star'
Murdannia 'Bright Star', native to Aisa produces strap-shaped, olive green-grey leaves with a darker green edge and visible veins running the length of the leaf. Occasionally airy sprays of creamy white star-shaped flowers will appear during the summer months, provided it has had a sufficient resting period over the autumn and winter months.
An unusual but easy-to-grow houseplant that is non-toxic and compact. An ideal plant for smaller spaces or as part of a larger plant collection.
Prefers bright, indirect light, avoid direct sunlight as this can damage the leaves. Keep the soil evenly damp and water when the top couple of inches of soil feels dry to the touch, reduce watering over the winter months. Mist the leaves occasionally during a hot summer. Thrives in average household temperatures and can tolerate temperatures as low as 10°.
