There are an even wider number of pest insects which try and feed on them before you get to eat them. Looking after the needs of lots of different plants, and identifying which pest is attacking which plant can be a challenge.
Steinernema feltiae and Steinernema carpocapsae are beneficial microscopic nematodes that hunt, infect and kill caterpillars including cabbage white caterpillars and fly larvae, including carrot root fly. Using a mix of both nematode species allows for greater flexibility in targetting a wider range of pests.
Application is by spraying or watering onto both leaves and soil around crops. Do not use any chemical controls within the same time period.
