Cryptolaemus larvae is a predatory mealybug killer. The larvae will move around your plant hunting and eating mealybugs. The larvae look similar to the mealybugs they are hunting, using camouflage to approach infestations easily. They cannot fly so will only hunt on the plant they are released onto or any plants which are physically touching. Cryptolaemus montrouzieri is a native species to the UK and will be found naturally in your garden, just at low levels.

There are numerous species of mealybugs, and they can be found at any time of year in warm protected environments like homes or greenhouses. A pest insect of cacti, succulents, citrus, orchids and tomatoes. Mealybugs appear to be small balls of white wax on the under side of leaves and soft growing points of the plant. They feed on plant sap, weakening the plant and leave sticky residues of honeydew, which can attract ants and also result in black mould developing.

Supplied in a bottle ready to go, simply open to release the larvae to hunt mealybugs, naturally protecting your plants. Place the open tube within the foliage or in a hanging Distribution Box.
