The Patio Pepper 'Terrazzo' gets its name from the Italian word for 'Terrace', and it's an ideal plant to grow in your favourite small pot or window box. This cute 30cm bushy style pepper plant produces fat, chunky, slightly pointed cone-shaped peppers that are 4-6cm long and have a vibrant yellow colour and great flavour. The plant is very pretty and highly productive, making it perfect for a protected rooftop garden or any small space. You can harvest the peppers throughout the summer season.
Peppers are versatile plants that can be grown in various settings, either undercover in a greenhouse or polytunnel, or outdoors in a sheltered spot with full sun exposure. It is recommended to transplant well-grown plants into grow bags, containers or beds with fertile and well-drained soil.
When growing sweet peppers outdoors, it is important to gradually acclimatize them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting to prevent transplant shock. To allow enough space for the plants to grow, peppers should be spaced 50cm apart.
