Scotch Bonnet Big Sun is a variety of chilli pepper that belongs to the Capsicum chinense species. It is known for its distinctive fruity and spicy flavour, and is widely used in Caribbean cuisine. The plants grow to about 60-90 cm tall and produce large, bright orange-yellow fruits that have a flattened globe shape and measure about 4 cm wide and 5 cm long. They are very hot, ranging from 100,000 to 350,000 on the Scoville scale. Scotch Bonnet Big Sun is a popular variety among chilli enthusiasts due to its flavour and heat.
