Chilli Pepper 'Basket of Fire' is a compact and prolific plant that produces masses of small, fiery fruits. This chili is perfect for growing in pots on a sunny patio or balcony, as it only grows to a height of 30-40 cm. The fruits start off green and ripen to a bright red, adding a pop of colour to your outdoor space. They have a Scoville rating of 80,000 to 100,000, which means they are very hot. Despite their heat, the fruits have a delicious, slightly sweet flavour that works well in a variety of dishes. The plant has a long cropping season, producing fruits from mid-summer until the first frosts.
