Rhubarb 'Timperley Early' 3 Litres
Timperley Early Rhubarb is an excellent variety for outdoor production and forcing in winter, with the ability to be harvested as early as February. The succulent pink stems, with a red base, have a deliciously sweet flavour. Once established, this variety produces masses of slender and tender stems. It is easy to grow and performs well both outside and when forced. It is recommended to wait until the second year of growth before harvesting to allow the plant to establish fully. To harvest, grasp the stalks near the base, give a firm tug, and twist to detach them from the crown. When planting, space Rhubarb crowns about 90-100cm apart.
