Cytisus × boskoopii 'Boskoop Ruby' 2 Litres
3 FOR £30
Cytisus is commonly known as Broom. It is a drought tolerant shrub that likes poor well-drained soils and can cope with windy coastal sites. In late spring it's slender stems are covered in pea-like yellow or red flowers followed by small slender green leaves. The variety 'Boskoop Ruby' is a small deciduous shrub to 1.5m with masses of small, bright ruby-red pea-like flowers in late spring and early summer that attract bees and other pollinators. The plant has small, dark green leaves that provide a nice backdrop for the colourful flowers.
It can be pruned after flowering to maintain a neat shape and is a popular choice for rock gardens, borders, and mass plantings.
