Zaluzianskya ovata also know as Night Scented Phlox is a compact clumping evergreen perennial to 25cm. Its small white flowers have notched red-backed petals giving a lovely bicolour effect. In the evening the plant releases a beautiful scent, which intesifies in the dark because this plant is pollinated by night-flying insects, including moths.
Plant this lovely little flower in borders or planters near where you sit in the evenings to make the most of its scent. Cut back hard after flowering to maintain its bushy habit.
