Convallaria majalis 2 Litres
Convallaria majalis, also known as Lily of the Valley, is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Europe and parts of Asia. It is a popular ornamental plant grown for its fragrant, white bell-shaped flowers and lush green foliage.
The plant grows up to 30 cm tall and has two or three broad, ovate leaves at the base of the stem. In late spring to early summer, the plant produces racemes of small, white flowers that are bell-shaped and hang downward. The flowers are very fragrant and are often used in perfumes and cosmetics.
Lily of the Valley prefers partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soil. It can tolerate a range of soil types and can grow in alkaline or acidic soils. It is also relatively cold-hardy and can tolerate frost.
Lily of the Valley is a fast-spreading plant that is particularly suited for shady positions, making it a popular choice for woodland gardens or for underplanting shrubs in shady borders. It is also wonderful as a cut flower due to its fragrant blooms. Please note that Lily of the Valley is toxic to both cats and dogs if ingested.
