4 FOR £10
Chamaemelum nobile 'Flore Pleno', commonly known as Double-flowered Chamomile or Roman chamomile, is a low-growing, mat-forming herbaceous perennial that belongs to the daisy family. This cultivar produces small, button-like double white flowers with yellow centers that resemble miniature daisies. The finely textured foliage is aromatic and feathery, with fern-like leaves that are bright green and slightly hairy. It grows to a height of around 15cm and has a spread of up to 30cm.
Double-flowered Chamomile can be used as a natural insect repellent and is often used in herbal teas. In the garden, it makes a great groundcover, and it can also be grown in containers, as it does well in confined spaces. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. It's a perfect plant for attracting pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, to your garden.
