Wood Fern (deciduous) 2 Litres
Phegopteris decursive-pinnata, commonly known as the Japanese Beech Fern is native to Japan and Eastern Asia. It is also referred to as Thelypteris decursive-pinnata. This stunning deciduous fern has a lovely blue-green hue on mature fronds, while new growth is a fresh green colour. It forms a clumping ground cover, making it perfect for a woodland glade or shaded area beneath overhead foliage.
Thelypteris decursive-pinnata grows up to 50cm high and features upright to arching narrow fronds with pinnatifid leaves up to 80cm long. It forms slow-spreading clumps that make a neat and tidy mound, perfect for the front of a moist, shady border. It can also tolerate full sun as long as there is enough moisture. Thelypteris decursive-pinnata is easily divided in spring and is deciduous.
