Vitis vinifera 'Brant' 3 Litres
2 FOR £30
A vigorous, deciduous climber with large lobed, bright green leaves to 22cm long, turning from green to a stunning dark crimson, orange and yellow in autumn. Produces insignificant greenish flowers in summer which are followed by large bunches of edible, aromatic, blue-black grapes.
Vitis vinifera 'Brant' is a hardy vine, it will produce more fruit if planted in a warm and sunny position. A great plant for providing summer shade. It produces tendrils to help it cling to its support and is best suited to growing up wires or trellis against a wall or fence.
Easy to grow, thrives in full sun in a sheltered position away from winter winds, prefers well-drained, humus-rich soil. Prune in midwinter and in midsummer to keep it under control and produce a good harvest.
