Weekend Cook - Paradise Park Garden Centre

Job Description: We are looking for a cook to join our team in our restaurant and kitchen at Paradise Park, Newhaven. You'll be supported by an experienced friendly team in an enjoyable working environment, with excellent working hours. You will be involved in all sections in the kitchen and other day to day kitchen duties including stock control and compliance with all food regulations.

Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a catering environment is essential for this role.

Payroll Co-ordinator - based at Head Office Newhaven

Job Description: We are looking for someone to join our team, working in our head office accounts department at Paradise Park, Newhaven. General Responsibilities Uploading and processing payrolls from Tensor Time and Attendance on Pegasus Opera. Running all reports and checking for accuracy. Processing new employee starters and leavers. Maintaining pay rates, PAYE tax codes, personnel details etc. Administer changes in tax codes, processing of Attachment of Earning etc. and respond to pay queries/enquiries. Processing of Statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP etc.) Processing payroll to BACS. Managing and distributing payslips and P45’s. Processing online returns to HMRC. Administration of auto-enrolment Pension Scheme. Additions & removals. Ensuring the confidentiality of employee records.

Previous Experience: Essential requirements: • Payroll experience. • Pegasus Opera 3 experience. • Accounts experience. Desirable qualities: • Ability to self-manage. • Ability to work as part of a small team. • Ability to communicate with staff at all levels and branches.

Duration: This is a full time position, working Monday - Friday.

Santa's Elves - Old Barn Garden Centre

Job Description: We are looking for some elves to join Santa in his grotto at Old Barn Garden Centre this Christmas. Our grotto is run in conjunction with The Budding Foundation Charity, with all profits being spent on local good causes and supporting families and young people in need. In 2019, we helped raise £43,000 for the charity. This is a temporary paid role working every weekend from Saturday 27th November until 24th December. Various weekday shifts also available.

Previous Experience: No previous experience required, but you must be confident with good customer service skills. Acting or entertainment skills an advantage. A love of Christmas is essential!

Duration: Every weekend from 27th November plus weekday shifts
