Customer Service Supervisor - South Downs Nurseries
Job Description: We are looking for a friendly person with excellent customer service skills to join our team as a customer service supervisor.
In this role, you will oversee the customer service desk and the tills.
You are responsible for:
Maintaining a high standard of customer service through friendly ‘meet and greet’, good knowledge of your stock and dealing with all customers in a courteous, efficient and cheerful manner. You will also be required to deal directly with customer queries and complaints always ensuring complete satisfaction or referring them to your line manager.
Daily monitoring, control and implementation of Company procedures. Ensuring accurate cash handling, cash-out operation and stock reconciliations.
Maintaining a high level of security at all times. Quickly and efficiently attending to any security alarms or other issues in a polite and friendly manner so as to minimise customer dissatisfaction while ensuring shop theft is dealt in accordance with Company policy.
Ensuring your department is always covered by a member of staff when you are not on the shop floor.
Keeping displays, stock and areas allocated to you clean, safe and well merchandised. Production of Point of Sale material to Company templates.
Ensuring that all pricing, product descriptions and offers created or placed by you are correct, accurate and up to date at all times, for self-auditing the areas that you work and immediately notifying your line manager of any potential issues.
You must have a working understanding of EMS and be able to check stock levels, prices, produce price labels and perform other day to day functions.
Ensuring faulty goods and returns are dealt with in accordance with Company policy.
Previous Experience: Experience working in a retail environment is essential for this role.
Duration: Full time with alternate weekend working rota

Part time Plant Area Assistants - South Downs Nurseries
Job Description: We are looking for Plant Area Assistants to work in our plant area at South Downs Nurseries to provide a high standard of presentation, plant care and customer service.
All vacancies include weekend working. Available shifts include 1 or 2 days a week plus every other weekend. Weekend only shifts also available.
Previous Experience: Previous retail experience and a basic knowledge of plants would be beneficial but we would also consider someone with an interest in plants who was keen to learn.

Goods Inwards Assistant - South Downs Nurseries
Job Description: We are looking for someone to join our goods-in team at South Downs Nurseries. This role involves dealing with all garden centre goods in/out of the warehouse, helping to load and unload vehicles, checking off deliveries and placing goods in storage ready for picking.
Previous Experience: A goods-in/stockroom background is essential for this role. You will need to be literate, numerate, IT competent & capable of working with a fine attention to detail and to strict deadlines.
