Bambusa Phyllostachys ‘Aureocaulis’ 100-150cm, 10-12 Litres
Phyllostachys aureosulcata f. aureocaulis, also known as Golden Crookstem Bamboo, is a beautiful and popular ornamental bamboo cultivar. This clumping bamboo has a stunning appearance, with bright yellow stems that have random green stripes, and green leaves that form a dense canopy. The stems are also uniquely curved at the base, creating an attractive "crook" shape.
Golden Crookstem Bamboo is a relatively cold-hardy species and can tolerate temperatures down to -18°C when established. It grows best in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. It can reach a height of 6-8 metres with a spread of 2-3 metres at maturity.
This bamboo is suitable for a wide range of landscaping applications, including as a specimen plant, in borders, as a screen or hedge, or even as a container plant. It is relatively low-maintenance and requires little pruning, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a beautiful and hassle-free garden plant.
