Deciduous azaleas are all from the rhododendron family. They are winter hardy, often scented and flower in spring before the leaves emerge in shades of flames from reds to white followed in autumn by lovely leaf colour. They look amazing grouped as understory plants or in a partly shaded area of your garden. If you garden on chalk or other alkaline soils you will need to grow them in pots.
Viscosum has an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Highly fragrant pink-flushed white flowers open in earky to mid summer.
