Ranunculus 'Brazen Hussy' is a low-growing, herbaceous perennial that typically grows up to 15cm in height and spreads to about 30cm. It produces dark purple-black, single flowers that are approximately 4cm in diameter. The blooms appear in early to mid-spring and are borne on long, thin stalks that rise above the foliage. The leaves are small and glossy, and are a deep green colour. Ranunculus 'Brazen Hussy' is best grown in moist, well-drained soil in partial shade. It is suitable for use as ground cover in woodland gardens, borders or containers. It is hardy in most parts of the UK.
