Very useful plants for any early emerging pollinators. Plant in partial shade in fertile moist but well drained soil. Ideal for planting under deciduous trees and shrubs. Viv Victoria is a particularly handsome variety with maroon to deep red-purple flowers which face more outwards than many varieties.
