Meech's Prolific is a very popular Quince variety that like all quinces, has fruiting and ornamental qualities. A heavy and reliable cropper with very large, pear-shaped fruits that are yellow in colour when they're fully ripe. The fruit has a distinctive scent; sweet and strong! Best when cooked into a smooth puree or Quince cheese (Membrillo), the flesh turns rose pink and softens nicely. Producing large, subtle pink flowers in the Spring and dark green curled leaves thereafter with unqiue twisted branches.
