Our COVID-19 Statement

Following the announcement from the UK Government, our garden centres are now closed until further notice.

We would like to thank all our customers, suppliers and colleagues all for your support and loyalty during these unprecedented times. As a family business, it is with great sadness that we have had to close our doors to our customers.

Whilst the majority of our teams are now at home, a small number of staff will continue to maintain our garden centres so that we are in a good position to continue business as usual when we are told it is safe to re-open.

We look forward to welcoming you all back into our garden centres and restaurants as soon as we can. In the meantime, look after each other, and stay safe.

We are monitoring the situation daily and will continue update our website with further information when we have it. Thank you for your support and we wish you and your loved ones all the best at this time.

Best wishes,
Tates of Sussex

FAQ's

Are your garden centres and restaurants open?
Following the announcement from the UK Government our garden centres and restaurants are now closed.

I am unable to visit, do you deliver?
We hope to deliver any outstanding orders purchased over the last few days to you soon. We are unable to take any new orders at this time, but will update our website if this changes.

Can I call my nearest garden centre and place an order over the phone for delivery?
Unfortunately our garden centres have been classed as 'non-essential' and we have had to cease teading until further notice. This includes telephone orders. We will update our website if this changes.

If I am unable to visit to return an item, what do I do?
Please hold on to your receipt and we will be able to help once we are able to re-open.

Am I able to order on the website?
We currently do not have an online shopping feature, but we are looking into this option for the future.

I have received a leaflet from Royal Mail, will I be able to use the vouchers once you reopen?
We cancelled our leaflet drops with Royal Mail but unfortunately,  because the leaflets are delivered to Royal Mail from the printers well in advance of the drop date, some have been delivered in error. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. Due to the disruption with deliveries in the run up to  our closure, we cannot guarantee that the products advertised will be available when we reopen but please keep hold of your leaflet and we will do our best to honour any vouchers we can.
