Traditional Clog Morris at Old Barn Garden Centre

Temporary Measured will be dancing at Old Barn Garden Centre on Sunday 22nd September in Aid of St Barnabas Hospice, Worthing. They will be joined by another Morris team, Cuckoo's Nest, from Brighton.
Both teams will be dancing in the courtyard, outside the main restaurant at 11:00 – 11:30, 12:00 – 12:30 and 13:00 – 13:30.


Temporary Measured are a women’s Morris team based in Washington, West Sussex. The dances are done in clogs, in the north-west tradition that has its origins in the mill towns of Lancashire and Cheshire.
The team perform in black trousers, white shirt, red waistcoat and red or black clogs. They are accompanied by a talented band of musicians who play a selection of popular traditional tunes such as British Grenadiers and Brighton Camp.


Cuckoo’s Nest Morris are based in Brighton and have been enjoying dancing and making music since 1977. They dance mainly in and around Brighton but also in other parts of the UK and Europe.
Many of their dances and tunes come from the Cotswold area of England but some have been written by members of the side. Their talented musicians accompany with traditional and original tunes, played on a variety of acoustic instruments.
