South Downs Nurseries and Garden Centre, based in Hassocks, is our largest centre. From our nurseries here, we grow many of the plants we sell in our garden centres. Our plant area is one of the largest in Sussex and is supported by a dedicated team of plant experts. Here you will find a large choice of indoor and outdoor living and gift ranges to inspire you. The Malvern Show Village showcases the most comprehensive range of quality garden buildings available in the U.K.

Parking
Car parking at South Downs for the disabled and coach set-down is on flat tarmac or grass, close to the main entrance.
Accessiblity
Wheelchairs are available on request, subject to availability. Shopping areas are flat and level. Where stock is displayed at a high level, staff are available to assist as required.

Fresh produce, cooked to order
Set in a stunning Sussex-style oak-framed barn, The Barn Coffee Shop and Restaurant offers a unique dining experience. You will find a varied menu with a focus on creating fresh produce, cooked to order. Our breakfasts cater to every taste with a wide selection of traditional dishes.
Our baristas serve a specialist range of quality coffees and delicious frappes and smoothies which are hard to resist.
Afternoon tea is also available to book, or enjoy a cream tea with delicious scones baked fresh every day. If you would like to book afternoon tea for two, please contact us.
Heritage Centre
South Downs Heritage Centre
We are a growing community of over 60 artists, makers, foodies, educators, gardening history enthusiasts and volunteers.
We are passionate about what we do and we want to share this with you. We consider the Heritage Centre project a work in progress, constantly growing and evolving as we come up with new ideas for exciting events, exhibitions, talks, workshops and much more! There will always be something new to see each time you visit us and many things you can join in with, or become involved in.
